The Role
We are on the lookout for a part-time Resource Management Compliance Officer who can play a part in protecting the future of the Timaru District and work with our community to support the sustainable development of our district!
Day-to-day, you will manage associated public enquiries and complaints, and to undertake enforcement action as required. You will also seek to protect communities by managing compliance with its district plan.
Your work will be done within relevant legislation, timeframes, and delegated authorities, with a focus on providing high-quality advice and support to Council staff, customers, and other stakeholders.
A good understanding of the Resource Management Act 1991 is desirable, but we also would also be interested in candidates with compliance, enforcement regulatory experience in a relevant industry. This role would be perfect for someone that wants to be involved in the planning industry and has an interest in learning and growing.
