Aorangi Stadium Team Leader
We are looking for an Aorangi Stadium Team Leader to take the lead at one of South Canterbury’s busiest community hubs!
The Role / Person
Aorangi Stadium is the vibrant heart of the South Canterbury community, bringing people together through sport, fitness, and events. It’s a place where locals of all ages connect, play, and celebrate achievements together. Now we are looking for an Aorangi Stadium Team Leader to take the lead at one of South Canterbury’s busiest community hubs!
This role is all about people and place. You will lead the operations of the Southern Trust Event Center and manage bookings across our Cbay Aquatics and all pools, Cbay Fitness, Learn2Swim, Cbay Café and the Aorangi Stadium.
In this role you’ll make sure the Centre is safe and well-maintained while delivering excellent customer experiences. You’ll keep things running smoothly behind the scenes with maintenance, contractor management, and budget support, but you’ll also be front-facing – ensuring every visitor has a positive experience.
We are seeking someone with a background in sport and recreation management or a related field, proven supervisory experience in a similar environment, and a keen eye for both detail and the bigger picture. You will be confident leading a team, enjoy problem-solving, and be equally comfortable planning ahead as you are rolling up your sleeves to tackle hands-on tasks.

This is a permanent full-time role, offering 40 hours per week. Hours will be generally be between 9am – 9pm depending on bookings.
