Wastewater Treatment Operator
We are on the lookout for a Wastewater Treatment Operator to join our team and work at our award-winning facility in Washdyke!

We are on the lookout for a Wastewater Treatment Operator to join our team and work at our award-winning facility in Washdyke. This is a varied role, with a mix of planned and reactive tasks - no two days are the same!
Your responsibility will be the operation of the wastewater treatment facility, sewer and pumping stations. You’ll be involved in everything from carrying out preventative maintenance programmes, to ensuring the day-to-day operations of the plant runs smoothly.
We need a team player with high-energy, who enjoys variety; working around our district, both inside and outdoors. Ideally, you will have a mechanical aptitude and process knowledge. It is also essential that you hold a current full driver's licence.
Ideally the successful applicant holds an NZQA Level 4 Wastewater Qualification to perform at full capacity in this role. Already have it or a similar experience? That will be a real advantage. If not, don’t worry as we will support your training - earn while you learn!

This is a permanent role offering 40 hours per week, with participation in the rostered 24-hour immediate response on-call team once you learn the ropes of the role. This offers flexibility and rostered days off to ensure a fantastic work-life balance. The hourly rate for this role is $30.92 - $36.38, plus on-call allowances.
