The Organisation
The Timaru District Council aims to enable democratic local decision-making and action by, and on behalf of communities, to promote the social, economic, environmental, and cultural well-being of its communities in the present and for the future. With around 400 staff, there are a diverse range of roles from front-facing community to support and technical specialists.

It’s no secret that our community loves to swim. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our awesome team of instructors and deliver CBay’s quality swim programme.

Our Learn 2 Swim Instructors are inspiring teachers who create a fun learning environment for all. Your knack for engaging with all ages, abilities and needs while delivering amazing customer service is essential.
We have a part-time position available offering a minimum of 10 hours per week, with the possibility of more hours. We are looking for an individual with a flexible workstyle available to work throughout the weekdays and on Saturday mornings.
Previous experience is not essential, but a love for the water and working with children (including babies and preschoolers) is a must - full training will be provided to the successful candidates.
