The Organisation
The Timaru District Council aims to enable democratic local decision-making and action by, and on behalf of communities, to promote the social, economic, environmental, and cultural well-being of its communities in the present and for the future. With around 400 staff, there are a diverse range of roles from front-facing community to support and technical specialists.
The Role
Take the plunge into this senior role - we’re looking for an enthusiastic Senior Lifeguard to join our team at CBay!
Bring your go-getter attitude, excellent communication skills and strong team approach. As a Senior Lifeguard you will be responsible for leading the lifeguard team, keeping each shift performing at its highest and assisting in the day-to-day running of CBay.
You will play a key part in ensuring that all of our pool users not only have a fantastic experience, but a safe one.
Bring your:
- Awesome leadership and communication skills
- Ability to stay calm in busy and pressured situations
- Keen eye for spotting potential hazards and preventing incidents
You’ll need to currently hold a First Aid Certificate as well as a Pool Lifeguard Practising Certificate, however, full training will be provided for the right applicant. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) and hours will be on a rostered basis so reliability and commitment to working early, late and weekend shifts is crucial.
